Full-time international students enrolled in a recognized Canadian institution, post-doctoral researchers, or their accompanying family members (spouse or dependent children) and guardians.
It’s best to buy your insurance as soon as you receive confirmation that you’ll be coming to study in Canada.
You’ll need to provide proof of full-time admission in a recognized Canadian institution of learning
You’re allowed to travel during school breaks, as long as you spend at least 51% of your coverage period in Canada. Travel to the U.S. is permitted for up to 30 days at a time and must not exceed 49% of your total coverage period.
If you visit your home country, your coverage will be paused during your stay, unless you're participating in a school-organized extracurricular or sporting event.
As long as you can prove that you are a full-time student in a recognized Canadian institution of learning.
You can purchase a new policy to extend coverage if you remain eligible, have no health changes since your last policy, and request it before your current coverage expires. The cost will depend on your age at the new policy’s start date.
